Theatre in the Park is looking for Fun, Fearless, Motivated staff for our 2021 season!


Front of House Staff

Be the face of The Theatre in the Park! 
Duties include many of the following: ticket sales, gate greeters and scanners, information representatives, concessions prep and sales, merchandise sales and parking staff. Cleaning duties apply to all shifts. Must be available for evening shifts June through August, Tuesday through Sunday, working late nights in outdoor facility in varied climates.
 

 


Scenic Crew

Scenic Carpenter: $10.00 hr. - $14.00 hr.
Join us at Theatre in the Park as part of our scenic team at our outdoor scene shop.  For this role specifically, you will be part of the team that builds and installs all scenic components of a show using a variety of carpentry hand and power tools. Scenic Carpenters will use hand tools and wood screws/nails/glue to make framework or props.  You may be asked to perform basic welding on stage props and scenery. In addition to building, you will assist with the load-in of scenic elements including rigging and overhead scenery.
Crew positions will run from 05/17/2021 thru 08/06/2021
7am – 3:45pm with a 45min lunch
Alternating Schedule M-F & Sun.-Thurs. to accommodate the load in of the show

Scenic Painter: $10.00 hr. - $13.00 hr.
Join us at Theatre in the Park as part of our scenic team at our outdoor scene shop.  For this role specifically, you will be part of the team that paints scenic elements.  In addition, you will have the opportunity to paint the stage floor, proscenium and prop pieces using various painting techniques and tools.
Crew positions will run from 05/17/2021 thru 08/06/2021
7am – 3:45pm with a 45min lunch, Monday through Friday

Assistant Technical Director / Shop Forman: $14.00 hr. - $16.00 hr.
Join us at Theatre in the Park as part of our scenic team at our outdoor scene shop.  The Assistant Technical Director (ATD)/ Shop Forman ensures scenic elements are constructed safely and according to designs/prints within production deadlines.  You will supervise a team of scenic carpenters and manage material inventory and usage to build and install all scenic components of a show using a variety of carpentry hand and power tools.   You and your team will use hand tools and wood screws/nails/glue to make framework or props.  You may be asked to perform basic welding on stage props and scenery. In addition to building, you will assist with the load-in of scenic elements including rigging and overhead scenery.
Crew positions will run from 05/17/2021 thru 08/06/2021

Scenic Charge / Lead Scenic Artist: $13.00 hr. - $15.00 hr.
Join us at Theatre in the Park as part of our scenic team at our outdoor scene shop.  For this role specifically, you will supervise and be part of the team that paints scenic elements within the production deadlines managing painting supplies and inventory.  In addition, you will have the opportunity to paint the stage floor, proscenium and prop pieces using various painting techniques and tools.

Teaching Artist


Assistant Teaching Artist for TIP Mainstage Camps: $12.00 hr. - $15.00 hr.
Theatre in the Park is looking for an Assistant Teaching Artist to work with the Lead Teaching Artist running the Technical Theatre summer camps at both our indoor and outdoor facilities. Applicants must be familiar with scene shop safety and technical theatre practices. In this role, you will help supervise camp participants to ensure safety protocols are followed and assist with projects developed by the TIP Technical Director and Lead Teaching Artist.
Camps will run Monday through Friday from 9am to 4pm from June 14-July 30 (no camp the week of July 5-9)

 


Assistant Stage Manager

Duties include: Attendance at auditions, all rehearsals, and all performances, assist Stage Manager with cast management, setup and breakdown of rehearsal room and theater, tracking and managing props and costumes at the direction of props and costume coordinators, maintaining safety standards, all other duties as assigned by TIP and production staff.

Requirements:
Age 15+
Background or interest in Stage Management.
Highly organized and professional demeanor.

Stipend: $300/production

 

 

Backstage Crew

Theatre in the Park is seeking volunteer backstage crew for all of our 2020 productions.
Backstage crew duties include: set up and breakdown of stage each night, moving scenery, helping to run props, maintaining safety standards, and any other duties as assigned by TIP and production staff.

Requirements:
Age 15 and above.
Availability for all technical rehearsals and performances.
Able to lift/move 20lbs+

 

Orchestra Musicians

We are thrilled that you are interested in being a musician with Theatre In The Park. We just need a little information from you, and once submitted, we will forward on to our Music Directors and conductors!

Please remember, not all instruments are required for all shows. Some shows require full orchestras while others require smaller bands and combos.

Our outdoor shows perform for 2 weekends during the summer months beginning usually the first weekend in June. Orchestra members are required at all tech rehearsals Monday - Thursday the week of opening, and then, of course, every performance. Our performance schedule is Friday, Saturday, Sunday the first week, and then Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday the second week.
