The Theatre in the Park is truly a community program.
Annually, over 450 volunteers contribute over 44,000 hours to our program.
There's always lots to do at the Theatre, and we could sure use your help. To volunteer, you must be at least 14 years old. Here's a few things we need some help with during our summer seasons that might spark your interest...
GATE VOLUNTEERS: Distribute programs and stamp hands for re-entry
LINE VOLUNTEERS: Assist with ticket and admission lines
MERCHANDISE TABLE VOLUNTEER: Assist staff with merchandise sales
Generally, gate and line volunteers will be released from duties by around 8pm and the merchandise table volunteer will be required to work up to Showtime and again at Intermission.
When you volunteer at the Theatre, as a small "Thank You" for your time, you can stay and see the performance on the evening you volunteer for FREE!... and we offer the opportunity to place one 8'x8' blanket in the seating bowl at 7:25pm (prior to the gates being opened for General Admission)
Of course, we need volunteers for EVERY performance of EVERY production. You can help out at as many performances as you like!... Why not make it a weekly visit to the theatre?!
If you know someone else that would like to get involved with the largest community theatre in the country, send them to this page... or drop us a note... let us know! We'll be very glad to welcome you and ALL your friends into our Theatre family!
