Attendance at the Call Back Audition is by invitation ONLY.

Call Back invitations for all shows will be extended by email (or telephone if no email address is available) AFTER auditions are completed.  Please be sure that all of your contact information is correct on your audition form.

Please note that Call Backs will NOT be at the same location as Auditions and not all Call Backs will be at the same location.  Call Backs for "Jesus Christ Superstar", "Annie" and "Cinderella" will be held at:

Tomahawk Recreation Complex, 17501 Midland Drive, Shawnee, KS 66217-9665 

Call backs for "All Shook Up" will be held at:

 Casting:

If you are not invited to a Call Back Audition, this does not mean you will not be cast in a show this season. Due to time constraints, many of the roles will be cast directly from the initial auditions and a Call Back audition is not required.

Casting for The Theatre in the Park's Season 2010 will take place the week following the Call Back Auditions.  Cast members will be notified either by email or telephone withing 2 weeks following the casting meeting.  If an auditioner does not accept a role or does not respond to the production team to accept a role, the role will be re-cast. The casting meeting will determine what role in which show will be offered to a performer - only one role in one show will be offered to an auditioner.

It is our policy that no individual may be cast in more than one show per season.  Additionally, all roles will be cast from those performers who attended the auditions in person or submitted a videotaped audition in accordance with the procedure outlined above.   Only the Executive Producer has the authority to make any exceptions to these policies.

Once all the shows have been cast, the performer's names will be added to the "Cast Roles" section of the website.

  Show Rehearsals:

To be considered for ANY role, performers must be willing to commit to several weeks of rehearsals in addition to the performance dates.  Please note that   "All Shook Up" will have a weekend rehearsal schedule; rehearsing from noon to 5:00 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.  Variations to the day(s) and/or time(s) of rehearsal are at the discretion of the director.  Additional rehearsals may be added if needed.

  Rehearsal Schedule for "Jesus Christ Superstar":

Rehearsal location: Shawnee Mission South High School, 5800 W. 107th Street, Overland Park, KS 66207

Rehearsals begin on April 25 and will be from 6:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday evenings.  There will be a rehearsal on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, May 30, consisting of principals.  There will be a Monday evening rehearsal for the entire cast on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31.  The schedule for tech week (June 6-10) will be approximately 6:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.

  Rehearsal Schedule for "Annie":

Rehearsal location: Miller-Marley School of Dance & Voice, 10448 Mastin, Overland Park, KS 66212

 We  will have rehearsal on May 2 and May 9 - 6:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. and May 11 - 6:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. May 16 through June 17 on Sun. thru Thurs. 6:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. There will one or two additional Saturday rehearsals.  There will be no rehearsal on Sunday, May 30 but there will be a rehearsal on Monday, May 31 (Labor Day).  The schedule for tech week (June 20-24) will be approximately 6:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.

 Rehearsal Schedule for "All Shook Up":

Rehearsal location: LE Dance Studio, 15244 Broadmoor Street, Overland Park, KS 66223

Rehearsals will be from 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays from May 1 through July 4 with the following exceptions: there will be no rehearsal on Sunday, May 9 (Mother's Day) or Sunday, May 30 (Memorial Day weekend).  There will be an additional rehearsal with the orchestra on Tuesday, June 30, time to be determined.  The tech week rehearsal schedule will be Monday, July 5 - Thursday, July 8, 6:30 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.   A brush up rehearsal (if needed) may be scheduled for Wednesday, July 14.

 First rehearsal: Sunday, June 6, 5:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

 Week one: Monday, June 7 – Thursday, June 10, 6:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
