Kevin is in his ninth year as the Director of Traditional/Blended Worship Arts at the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas, the largest United Methodist Church in the country with over 16,000 members.  He was the executive producer of Christmas at Resurrection which starred Sandi Patty and Jason Crabb in 2012 and was performed for over 15,000 audience members.  Kevin has directed Grease, A Little Night Music and Merrily We Roll Along for the Ft. Lauderdale Players, A Grand Night for Singing and the Kansas City premier of Altar Boyz for Sonlight Productions.  He has also directed Annie Get Your Gun and was the musical directior for The Music Man and She Loves Me for the Leawood Stage Company. 

Kevin was the stage director for the Kansas City Symphony’s The Music Man, starring Broadway veteran Michele Rigusa.  He served as the musical director for Thoroughly Modern Millie and the conductor for Disney's Beauty and the Beast at The Theatre in the Park, as well as starring as Albert Peterson in Bye Bye Birdie, for which he received a Demmi Award nomination. 

Additional stage credits include Che in Evita for which he received a South Florida Carbonel nomination for best actor in a musical, Jesus in Godspell, George in Sunday in the Park with George,  Archibald Craven in The Secret Garden, the Baker in Into the Woods and most recently, Aaron Fox in Curtains.  Kevin has also done musical direction for Egads Theater Company and will do musical direction in the spring for 9to5 for the Barn Players, Hello Again for Spinning Tree Theater and Starlight Theatre's Children’s Productions at the Kauffman Center.


Greg has been involved at The Theatre in the Park since 1996, first as an actor in Footloose, The King and I, Big River, et al, and more recently as a Director. 9to5 will be Greg’s tenth production to direct at The Theatre in the Park.  Other directing credits at TTIP include: Godspell, Fame, West Side Story, Grease, Footloose, The Wedding SingerAll Shook Up (winner of the 2010 Demmi Award for best show), Aida, and Legally Blonde.

Greg has a Master’s degree in Speech and Theatre Education from Pittsburg State University and is currently the Theatre and Speech teacher at Pittsburg High School. He is on the Board of Trustees for the Colonial Fox Theatre Foundation, a revitalization and restoration organization. He lives in Pittsburg, Kansas with his wife Angie and daughters McKenna and Marley.


David Tate Hastings teaches drama at Olathe South High School.  He also helps run the Kansas Thespian Conference.  David has directed over 50 school productions as a teacher in Olathe and in Lawrence.  His musicals at Olathe South have been nominated for several Starlight Theatre Blue Star Awards including outstanding overall production in 2003 and 2007.  He won the Starlight Blue Star Award for Outstanding Direction in 2007.  David’s students have taken a mainstage show and two chapter select shows to the International Thespian Festival.  This June, his students will be performing Jason Robert Brown’s 13 at the International Thespian Festival. Over the last three years, three students from his school have won the Kansas City Branch of the English Speaking Union’s annual Shakespeare Competition.  Two of these students finished in the top ten at the national English Speaking Union Shakespeare Competition, which is held at the Lincoln Center in New York City. 

David has been involved with The Theatre in the Park since he was 17 years old.  Last summer, David directed Urinetown the Musical. He has also directed Les Miserable - School Edition and Gypsy at TTIP. David earned his undergraduate degree in theatre/film and his master’s degree in education from the University of Kansas.


Chris McCoy, a native of Overland Park, began performing at Theatre in the Park in 1989 and is currently a PhD candidate in Performance Studies at the University of California, Davis.  After graduating from the University of Kansas, Chris worked for Seattle Children’s Theatre, Atlanta’s Alliance Theatre, and the Denver Center Theatre Company.  In 2001, Chris was selected for OPERA America’s national fellowship program which placed him with Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, San Diego Opera, and Austin Lyric Opera.  Returning to Kansas City in 2003, Chris worked for Theater League, Inc. and served as artistic director for the Kansas City Festival of New Musicals as well as production assistant on regional tours and productions.  Chris received his MA in theatre education from Emerson College in Boston.  Recent production credits include directing & choreographing The Mystery of Edwin Drood at Johnson County Community College, assistant director/choreographer for Grand Night for Singing at California Music Circus, assistant director for Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at Lyric Theatre of Boston, directing the world premiere of Sangre de un Angel, and devising an original documentary theatre piece for the University of California titled (Un)Civil (Dis)Obedience.


In the Fall of 2012, Mark returned to the job that he loves, once again becoming the Director of Theatre at Shawnee Mission South High School. He also continues as the Resident Director at The White Theatre, a job he's held since June of 2005, after years of directing in academic, community and professional theatre. As the  Artistic and Managing Resident Director for The White Theatre and CenterSeason, at the Jewish Community Center, Mark directed over 40 productions, in seven years, some of which included Angels in America, A Chorus Line, Avenue Q, Ragtime, Children of Eden, RENT, 1776, TOMMY and Gypsy.

Originally from New York City, Mark attended St John’s University, Ottawa University and the University of Kansas. After finishing school, he studied acting and directing at the famed LaMama ETC in New York City. LaMama ETC is an experimental theatre where actors and directors from all over the world are given the opportunity to study, create, and develop their craft with gifted artists. That was an experience that changed his life.

Returning to the Kansas City area, he began his teaching career, sharing his love of theatre with students of all different ages. He landed the Director of Theatre job at Shawnee Mission South High School where he created one of the most vibrant theatre programs in the midwest.  While teaching, he was also able to direct for many of the theatres throughout the Kansas City area, including 17 productions for TTIP. This led him to the Jewish Community Center which has a long history of creating quality theatre dating back to the prestigious Resident Theatre.

Mark has been honored multiple times for his work in theatre. He has received a Best of Kansas City Theatre award for his production of A Chorus Line, Best Director for the musical Cabaret, Best Director  for the Theater League's production of Nunsense and Best Director for OCTA’s production of Nunsense. Mark received a Demmi award and the Founders award from The Theatre in the Park. The Barn Players honored him with a Best Director and Best Production award for his production of Company, and Greenroom Publications honored him as Best Director for his production of Into the Woods. In 2003, Mark's production of The Fantasticks was honored at the International Thespian Conference as one of the top ten productions in the country.  Mark has directed over 350 productions and views each production as a way to hold up the mirror to what is around us in order to make the world a better place.
