2013 Callback Auditions

Please read ALL OF THE INFORMATION on this page!

Callback Auditions will be held Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Blue Valley High School: 6001 west 159th Street, Stilwell KS (same location as auditions).

The schedule for the day is as follows:

9to5: 7.00am - 10.00am
Hairspray: 10.00am - 1.00pm
Peter Pan: 1.00pm - 3.30pm
Children of Eden: 3.30pm - 6.30pm
Damn Yankees: 6.30pm - 9.30pm

Actors being asked to attend callbacks appear below in alphabetical order along with audition numbers and the show name(s) and the role(s) you are being called back for. Please read the information below carefully, some actors are being called back for more than one production.

IMPORTANT:

Following callbacks, all production teams will gather to cast each production. It is not unusual for some actors to be on the initial cast lists of more than one production - especially in the case of ENSEMBLE roles. All actors called back MUST download & fill out a form that indicates their preference (rated 1-5, "1" being first choice, etc.) of productions. Only ONE form per actor is required. (Rate only those shows that you indicated on your audition sheet you were interested in auditioning for.)  We will collect the preference form from you when you check-in at callbacks.

MOST IMPORTANTLY - we want everyone to be involved in the productions they WANT to be involved in! We reference this information ONLY AFTER CALLBACKS ARE COMPLETE. Production teams do not reference this information during the callback process. So... PLEASE GIVE SOME THOUGHT TO YOUR PREFERENCE OF PRODUCTIONS BEFORE YOU ARRIVE AT CALLBACKS. Please note, however, that just because an actor indicates a first preference, there is no guarantee that they will be cast in that production or any production at all. Don't forget, callbacks are to see mutiple combinations of actors together, and by the end of callbacks, some actors may not be cast at all. The preference indication is only referenced in the event that the actor is on the initial cast list for more than one production.

For clarity... here's an example: Mazie Doe is placed on the initial cast list of CHILDREN OF EDEN, DAMN YANKEES and 9TO5 as a member of the ensemble. On her preference sheet, Mazie indicated that her choice of productions was: #1 - DAMN YANKEES, #2 - 9to5, and #3 - CHILDREN OF EDEN.

In this case, Mazie would be cast as an ensemble member in DAMN YANKEES! (She really likes baseball!)

In the end, Mazie is happy because she gets to be in the cast of the show she REALLY wanted to be involved in, the Director of DAMN YANKEES is happy because he really was looking forward to having Mazie in the cast of DAMN YANKES, and the directors of the other productions will move on to their second choice for that particular ensemble role in their productions.
